You could see it in his eyes, his body language, and his aggression - it was crystal clear how determined he was to win it for us. What a comeback, what a fight! You truly stood tall when the team needed you most, and you absolutely deserve the Man of the Match today. We all are super proud of you, Pavan!
Opposition won the toss and elected to bat first.
Ankit and Atul gave us a fantastic start with the new ball, and Ankit struck in the very first over! From there, we kept building the pressure with wickets at regular intervals. We never allowed their batsmen to settle, thanks to disciplined bowling from everyone. Special shoutout to our champion Pavan who came back in the later overs and took 3 crucial wickets! We bundled them out for 141 runs (including 20 extras).
Chasing wasn’t easy as we lost both openers in the very first over. But Trilok stepped up under pressure, counterattacked brilliantly during the powerplay with some stylish and powerful shots (3 sixes and 2 boundaries). Unfortunately, he fell in the 6th over and scored 34 runs, but his effort gave us momentum. We were 64/3 at the end of powerplay. Then, Sir Pavan once again stood up, keeping the scoreboard ticking. Every batsman after him made small but meaningful contributions. A special mention to Neal for a solid partnership with Pavan, building a 30+ runs stand that stabilized the chase. At the end, Vandan finished things off in style with some classy strokes and we secured a comfortable and much-needed win!
Overall, a very satisfying batting performance.
Today was truly a special game where every player contributed in every department - batting, bowling, and fielding. We played as one team, with one heart, and it showed beautifully on the field. We have taken our first big step towards the ACL Trophy 🏆.
